Visits to the following monasteries:
1. Klisura Monastery "St. Petka"
A legendary monastery dating back to the Second Bulgarian Empire.
Connected to the transfer of the relics of St. Petka Epivatka by Tsar Ivan Asen II in 1238.
The monastery was rebuilt after a devastating fire in the 20th century by the Russian nun Maria Magdalina, who dedicated her life to its restoration and passed away there in 1978.
2. Kurilo Monastery
Originally founded during the First Bulgarian Empire and destroyed during the Ottoman rule.
Rebuilt in 1593 by local villagers, featuring frescoes painted by the renowned artist Pimen Zografski in 1596.
Flourished in the early 20th century with a community of 45 nuns and its own printing press for Christian literature.
3. Obradovtsi Monastery "St. Mina"
Rediscovered in 1927 by locals who unearthed remains of the ancient monastery.
Rebuilt between 1942–1945 with contributions from believers.
Features a chapel dedicated to St. Cosmas and Damian, constructed in 1956 and consecrated in 1957.
